For cars, Yes there is, it's called the APK over here.
Bikes are not included (luckily) in this rule/law.

But we do have some rules te be streetlegal.

You need good tires.
You need light and a horn.
You are not allowed to hack in, and weld on, your frame (unless is a really old bike).
There are some more rules, but unless you're pulled over by the police it's not checked at all.
Druk, druk, druk, vroem vroem, druk, druk, druk, .....

MOT/TüV/APK applies for all vehicles over 400 kg in The Netherlands.
Motorcycles are usually leighter than 400 kg, so no worries here.....
But you sure are making motorcycling very dangerous if you don't take of your brakes, check your tyres regular, check the lights.
Maintenance (even poor) of your bike is vital for its (and your) survival on the 'open road'.
Nothing is worse than loose your complete exhaust going downhill in the Alps (to mention something that could happen) and finding out that your brakes have had it (did happen) (Eiffel).
Geen beter seizoen dan het knutselseizoen...totdat er weer gereden gaat worden!
